How do I work?

The psychotherapy approach I am being trained in is called Relational Integrative, but what does it mean?

It means that the relationship between you and me is significant for the process as it often mirrors what is happening in your relationships with your friends, family, or even strangers. People often tend to operate in the world within certain patterns that they developed over the years to survive. With me, you will be able to have a closer look at these patterns, understand where they started and see if there is a way to act differently. We can practice together in a safe way.

I need to be honest with you -  psychotherapy is not an easy and quick process. Getting in touch with your feelings might be painful, but it’s not only about tears; we might sometimes be playful, creative or laugh together. In my practice, I am trying to be very humane. I don’t have any expectations of you. It is ok if you don’t know where and how to start; we will get there at your own pace. I will be on your side, but I am not going to tell you what to do, the point of therapy is that you will learn how to listen to yourself and  know what’s best for you.

I will support you by accessing the parts of yourself you want to eliminate so we can curiously check why you are acting/thinking/feeling the way you don't like. Getting to know yourself better is part of your healing; integrating all your parts might help you feel whole again.
